Ingredients

  • Piña Colada Layer:
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice optional for texture
  • 1 cup coconut milk full-fat recommended
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or alternative yogurt/cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar or sweetener
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Strawberry Daiquiri Layer:
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp sugar adjust to taste
  • Optional add-ons classic version:
  • White rum for strawberry layer
  • Coconut rum for Piña Colada layer

Instructions

  • Prepare Piña Colada base
  • Blend pineapple, coconut milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt until thick and smooth (slushy texture). Set aside or slightly freeze.
  • Prepare Strawberry layer
  • Blend frozen strawberries, lime juice, cream, and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Layer the drink
  • In a tall glass (hurricane glass recommended), pour Piña Colada mixture first.
  • Add strawberry layer
  • Slowly pour strawberry mixture over or beside the first layer to create a split color effect.
  • Serve immediately
  • Garnish and enjoy fresh.

Notes

  • Use frozen fruit for thick texture and strong flavor
  • Chill the glass before serving for better presentation
  • Pour slowly to keep layers separated
  • A pinch of salt enhances tropical flavors
  • Over-blending can make the drink watery

Variations

  • Mango instead of strawberry for sweeter tropical taste
  • Raspberry for tangier flavor
  • Passion fruit for exotic twist
  • Blue version using blue spirulina or syrup
  • Lighter version: use light coconut milk + stevia/monk fruit

Storage

  • Store each blended layer separately in airtight containers
  • Freeze up to 24 hours
  • Thaw 10–15 minutes before serving
